If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen the Reel I shared to recap my weekend spent in Austin, Texas! Austin is such a fun, lively city with a lot to see and do. This was my first time visiting Austin and it did not disappoint! Today, I’ll be sharing my recommendations on where to stay, where to eat, and more!
Where We Stayed
Our stay at Fairmont, a chic luxury hotel was incredible! It’s located in downtown Austin and offers great views of the city. Here, you have the option of dining at a variety of restaurants and bars, an award-winning spa, and a rooftop pool with the city center as a backdrop.

Other Hotels: Hotel Van Zandt (shown above), The Line, Austin Proper, Four Seasons, Commodore Perry Estate
Where We Ate & Drank

Fixe – We went here for dinner the first night. The upscale, chic dining rooms make it a great date night spot! Recommendations: Fixe Biscuits, Sweet-Corn Hushpuppies, Sugar & Orange-Cured Salmon.
Lonesome Dove – This is the spot to get incredible, unique Texan cuisine like Elk-Foie Gras Sliders & Texas Wild Boar. I highly recommend this spot and its great atmosphere!
Geraldine’s – A great brunch spot located in Hotel Van Zandt! I ordered the classic breakfast. It was amazing!
The Roosevelt Room – We absolutely loved this unique cocktail bar. It’s a great happy hour spot with craft cocktails plus a cozy lounge upstairs. I’d strongly recommend making reservations for any of these spots!

More Spots We Visited: Perla’s, Cantina 512, Idle Hands on Rainey Street, Upstairs at Caroline, True Food Kitchen (quick and healthy – shown above)
Shopping
2nd Street District is one of the most popular locations to shop in Downtown Austin! You’ll find both locally-owned shops and popular retailers. We loved the charming atmosphere. A couple of stops we made were at Alo Yoga and the very recently opened Hermès store! I was able to pick up a new pair of Oran Sandals and a bracelet for summer!

More places to shop: South Congress Avenue, The Domain
Our experience in Austin was a 10/10 from start to finish. It is such a fun city with a ton of things to do. I’d recommend visiting at least once for sure!
