Après Notes From Vail

Colorado always feels like stepping into a snow globe, but this recent trip to Vail felt especially cozy, in the best way. Slow mornings, long lunches, après that turned into dinner, and plenty of wandering through the village with no real agenda. Naturally, I kept a mental list of places I’d immediately return to, so let’s get into them.

We stayed at the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail, and honestly, it set the tone for the entire trip. Warm, polished, and effortless.. exactly what you want after a cold mountain day. If you’re choosing where to stay, this one’s hard to beat. Mountain Standard became our go-to for both lunch and dinner. It is relaxed, has a cozy atmosphere, and perfect for when you want something satisfying but not overly formal. Their grilled cheese and soup is the perfect combination after a cold morning outside!

Two of my favorite dinner spots are Tavernetta (at the Four Seasons), and Matsuhisa. The menu at Tavernetta leans into Italian comfort done really well. Think handmade pastas, beautifully prepared proteins, and dishes that feel familiar but elevated. Matsuhisa is always refined, intimate, and quietly glamorous. Last year, we dined at their location in Aspen, and it was just as memorable. I highly recommend either the Yellowtail Jalapeño or Spicy Tuna with Crispy Rice.

Outfit Details

Après drinks (and dessert, let’s be real) happened at The Remedy, where the haute chocolate is a non-negotiable. As for shopping, it was mostly unplanned.. which is always the best way. I love Vail Village because it feels like stepping into a Hallmark Movie. Truly ideal for afternoon strolling or popping into stores like Kemo Sabe and Brunello Cucinelli, even if it’s just to admire.
