Happy January! I can’t believe it’s already a new year. I hope everyone is having an amazing first month of 2021. One of the best parts of my job is trying out new beauty products to review for you guys. From makeup to hair to skin, I can assure you I probably tested out more products last year than I ever have. Definitely, more than I can count. Let’s be honest, we all had a lot of time on our hands during quarantine. In today’s blog post I am sharing the best beauty products of 2020. These are all of my must-haves from last year. Products that I found myself going back to, time and time again (and re-purchasing once I ran out).
If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I am very passionate about skincare. 2020 brought me several products that I can’t do without. I highly recommend the Alpha-H Liquid Gold Midnight Reboot Serum. It does an amazing job at lightening dark spots. For a cleanser, I am on my second bottle of the SkinCeuticals Purifying Cleanser. This cleanser combines glycolic acid and glycerin to remove impurities while hydrating skin. I feel like it’s not too drying but still gets the job done. I also love Tatcha’s Violet-C Radiance Mask. The first time I used this mask, I was shocked at how effective it was after only 15 minutes. It truly left my skin feeling softer, smoother, and more radiant.
I am very particular when it comes to hair products, but these products have definitely impressed me. The T3 Micro Curl ID is my go-to curling iron. This iron gives me shiny curls that last. I use this curling iron with Ouai’s heat protection spray and their multitasking hair oil. I love how lightweight this oil is. Kenra’s Prime Shampoo and Prime Conditioner cleanses my hair and helps improve its manageability. It’s also enhanced with purple orchid and therefore smells amazing!
This post wouldn’t include the best beauty products of 2020 without mentioning Urban Decay’s Subversion Lash Primer and their Perversion Mascara. If you want the appearance of falsies without wearing falsies, this is your duo. I also wanted to mention my favorite fragrance of the year–Maison Margiela’s Replica Coffee Break Eau de Toilette Fragrance. It has subtle hints of vanilla and reminds me of my first sip of coffee.
