I’M GOING HOME! Woo!! As you read this I’m probably at an altitude of 30,000 ft, on a plane back to the land of the pines. Thumbin’ my into North Caroline’. If you haven’t heard “Wagon Wheel” by Darius Rucker, you should give it a listen. I haven’t been home since last December, so you could say I’m excited. As much as I love California, North Carolina will always be home.
Also, on a slightly more weird note, I was driving down the highway the other day and someone literally threw a pumpkin off of the overpass and onto the hood of my car. A PUMPKIN. Like wut?! Can a girl not drive down the highway without a pumpkin hitting her car? No? Okay.
This black dot ruffle wrap dress is so fun and flirty. I’m sharing my exact dress, for under $50, and several other similar ones.
In light of current events, my heart has really been hurting these last few days. I read this quote the other day which gave me some comfort and hopefully it will do the same for those reading this.
“I wish I could tell you the world will be perfect and each day’s a walk in the park, but the truth of the matter is often it’s awfully depressing and stressing and dark. But don’t let that grind you or wind up your brain into thoughts that can rip you apart. It’s not about how well you sing when you’re winning, it’s about losing without losing heart.” – Dallas Clayton
Prayers for the friends and family of those that lost their lives this weekend. Prayers for the world. We won’t let them win. I really do hope you go out and live free this weekend.
