“Her Perfect Life is a Perfect Lie.” – Luckiest Girl Alive
The last book review that I shared did really well, so I’m going to start writing more of them for you guys! When I was a little girl, I LOVED to read. I’ve started reading again and it’s like a newfound passion. I recently finished the book, Luckiest Girl Alive by Jessica Knoll. It is a mystery/thriller. While I personally have never read the book Gone Girl, a lot of reviews say this book is just as addictive. The main character is a girl named Ani Fanelli who experienced a large amount of public humiliation back when she was in high school. Fast forward to her late twenties and Ani now has her dream wardrobe, a glamorous job at a magazine company in NYC, and a handsome and wealthy fiancé. It seems like everything in her life is going perfect, except she has a dark secret hidden in her past that threatens to ruin everything.
This book had a ton of unexpected twists and turns. I also liked how the chapters alternated between Ani’s past and present. Quite frankly I enjoyed reading about her past more, but what makes the ending so interesting is when her past and present lines up. Luckiest Girl Alive is one of those novels that once you pick it up, you can’t put it down. Let me know in the comments section below if you’ve read this book or plan to. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
I loved gone girl the movie, never read the book. This book sounds interesting and I would love to read it one day.
