Hi everyone! As we kick off the new year with new routines, schedules, and self-care rituals, let’s not neglect haircare. Keeping your hair nurtured can be a lot of work and take time. Especially if you’re being counter-productive with damaging heat products! Luckily, there are many ways to continue styling your hair the way you like without damaging it. Read below to see my break down of all the steps and products I use to maintain healthy, shiny hair.
Washing
Let’s start with the holy grail products I use to wash my hair! The Kenra Platinum Prime Shampoo is super gentle, smells great, and is free of sulfates, parabens & sodium chloride. I seriously love how this cleanses my natural hair and extensions, and rinses away product buildup for a clean canvas. The Kenra Platinum Prime Conditioner is it’s counterpart. It’s lightweight (doesn’t weigh my hair down like some conditioners do), locks in moisture and makes my hair smell “salon fresh”.
Conditioning
In addition to the Kenra Platinum Prime Conditioner, I love using the Kenra Nourishing Masque. I put about a quarter size amount on my natural hair and leave it in for 10-15 minuses, then rinse out. After that, I’ll use the Briogeo Leave-In Conditioner. This eliminates frizz by locking in hydration and locking out humidity. I’m convinced the two of these together have A LOT to do with how shiny my hair can get!
Styling
Now, let’s talk styling! I truly believe that the products you use before using potentially damaging heat products makes all the difference. The Kenra Super Skinny Serum is an absolute game changer. I love how silky it makes my hair (and I’m sure you all will LOVE it too.) Then, I use my Kenra Platinum Blow-Dry Spray. This speeds up the blow-dry process which I’m sure you all know can be super tedious and tiring! Then, I finish with another one of my holy grail products- the Ouai Hair Oil. If you haven’t tried this stuff before, I encourage you to. It provides a number of benefits including preventing heat/UV damage and fights frizz!
Hot Tools
Before using any heat on my hair, I use the Mizani Heat Screen. It helps protect against heat damage up to 450 degrees! If you’ve been following me for a little while, you’ll know that my absolute favorite brand for hot tools is T3. My Cura Hair Dryer has 3 heat and 2 speed settings. This allows for styling customization for all hair types/textures. My everyday flat iron is the T3 Lucea ID. The Heat ID technology automatically adjusts to your hair needs without overexposing it to unnecessary heat which is a feature I love when it comes to good haircare. The last hot tool on my list of must-haves is the T3 Curl ID. It gives me the most smooth shiny curls I’ve ever gotten out of a curling iron!
Use code BRENNAT320 for any T3 tools!
