“And I like large parties. They’re so intimate. At small parties there isn’t any privacy.” – F. Scott Fitzgerald
New Year’s Eve has always been one of my favorite holiday’s to celebrate. This year I spent New Year’s Eve at the Rockstar Mansion in Beverly Hills. Also known as Prince’s former estate. One of my all-time favorite movies is the Great Gatsby, which naturally it makes sense that one of my favorite quotes is from there as well.
With rooftop views of Hollywood, Santa Monica, and downtown Los Angeles, it was the perfect spot to ring in the New Year. The party was insane. Insane mansion, insane views, insane dj, insane crowd.
I knew I wanted to wear a faux-fur coat (yes, it does get cold in LA at night) and I knew I wanted to sparkle. ✨ Old-Hollywood Glam. Think Audrey, think Marilyn. While the fur coat that I’m wearing can’t be purchased online, I found a very chic and similar one here. I paired it with a midi dress that had subtle sparkles, because I didn’t want to walk around looking the actual midnight ball drop itself. Glitter fabric is the way to go.
Accessories were my next stop. I feel like they are always the most difficult part of completing my outfits. However, this time I knew exactly what I wanted. I was thinking jewels. Lot’s of them. This rhinestone choker was perfect for my Old-Hollywood Glam look. And this red velvet cross-body bag completed it. For shoes, I went with a simple sandal heel!
Cheers!
