Memorial Day has officially come and gone, which means it’s now acceptable to wear white without being judged by those who don’t truly know fashion. The “No White After Labor Day” rule is no longer valid, because we all know it’s fashionably acceptable to wear white, all year round. I recently introduced the Rodeo Drive Style Series on the blog. If you are a new reader or you’re unfamiliar with this series, I’m posting a three part style series consisting of the different looks you’ll see on Rodeo Drive, including Casual Chic, Classy and Posh. The first look, “Casual Chic,” can be found here. I wanted to do this fun series because Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills is easily one of the most famous streets in the world. Combining luxury, fashion and lifestyle, there’s no question why.
Okay so let’s talk about the definition of POSH. Posh can be described as luxurious, elegant, high-class, fashionable, upscale… you get the point. If this outfit doesn’t scream posh then I’m not sure what does. Whenever I see somewhere wearing all white, my emotions are somewhere between good for you and why. Wearing white is riskyyyyy, but they’ve obviously decided that the pros of wearing white on white outweigh the cons. Shall I elaborate?
PROS: looking like the HBIC, all white says I’m here and I mean business, boujee status = maxed out
CONS: boujee status = maxed out, you’re basically the definition of extra, the constant fear of the unknown aka when will someone spill on your freshly dry cleaned angelic outfit
I still think the PROS outweigh the CONS. Am I right or am I right?
And let’s not forget about Posh Spice and the Spice Girls. Victoria Beckham circa 1996. If you haven’t seen the Spice Girls movie, “Spice World,” I suggest you go watch it right now.
So here we are with Part 2 of the Rodeo Drive Style Series. This all white look is elegant and upscale. Wearing white on white will for ever be a sophisticated look. I’ve linked a bunch of similar white off the shoulder tops! I’m pretty sure that my top is a dupe for this Alice McCall designer top. This floral top is also similar to mine! I also think this one is so cute, because it has flower cut-outs and lace. As for my white culottes, this pair is under $50. Depending on the look you’re going for, the cropped look makes them cute enough to wear with boots, booties, heels, etc. My bag is a dupe to the Chloé “Drew” bag. It can be found here for $30!!! I’ll be posting Part 3 of the Rodeo Drive Style Series soon, so stay tuned!
