I’ve been told on multiple occasions that money doesn’t grow on trees, but fast forward to a few hundred shopping trips later, and one would think that I still don’t believe in that myth. Sephora is one of my favorite stores, because I enjoy watching my collection of makeup grow, almost as much as I love puppies. I spent at least two hours in Sephora the other day looking for the perfect nude lipstick (shoutout to my friends who patiently awaited as I tested every nude lipstick in the store). I finally had to ask for assistance because finding the right nude lipstick has been an ongoing 3 year battle (women of color you understand my struggle). I eventually fell in love with “Marc Jacobs’ lip cream lipstick.” The nude shade that I found is “J’Adore 230.” I consider it to be the perfect nude color for me because, it’s not too pink, and not too brown. It has just the right about of pigment and doesn’t dry out my lips. I actually need to stop using it so often, because I don’t want it to run out any time soon.
I also purchased a new eye shadow palette! The palette is the “Sunrise to Sunset Bronze” palette from Sephora’s Colorful 5 line of eyeshadows. Another one of my favorite purchases ever is the “Iconic Photofinish Primer by Smashbox.” I received a sample of it in the mail and immediately knew I had to have a whole tube. It is definitely the best primer I have ever used, because it applies smoothly and feels superrr lightweight.
I meant to only go to Sephora (lol who am I kidding?), but somehow I ended up at Bath and Body works, where I purchased too many candles. Cozy Cabin, Peppermint Marshmallow, and Los Angeles (because LA will forever have my heart) were my favorites. I specifically searched for Christmas scented ones, because ‘Tis the Season right?!? However, I am NOT a fan of peppermint scented ANYTHING. I am more of a basic sugar-cookie scent type of girl. However, Peppermint Marshmallow was the perfect in-between.
And last but not least is my Christmas mug from Swoozies!! One might think it’s ridiculous to have seasonal mugs, but I think anyone who doesn’t have seasonal mugs is twice as ridiculous. This one says “’tis the season, to be jolly.” It’s perfect for drinking tea while watching Christmas movies on Saturday mornings. 🙂
