I recently got back from the most amazing girls trip to Paris. We flew into Paris-Charles De Gaulle airport and from there it was about an hour drive into the city. This was probably one of the most stressful drives of my life. Drivers in Paris are insane! Even worse than drivers in LA. Regardless of this stressful drive, it was all forgotten once we made it into the city. The architecture and energy is amazing. I had such an amazing time styling outfits and capturing content while I was in Paris, and was reminded of why I started my blog.
From the Eiffel Tower to shopping on Avenue Montaigne, today’s blog post is all about what to do in Paris. I’m sharing some my favorite cafés, places to shop and must-see spots. Also, be sure to check out my ‘What I wore in Paris‘ blog post and my ‘4 Days in Paris‘ vlog.
Where to Stay
We stayed at the Maison Albar Hotels Le Diamond. In my opinion this hotel was in the perfect location. It was about a 10-15 minute drive to most of the most of the locations we visited (Eiffel Tower, Palais-Royal, The Louvre, etc.)
Must-See Places in Paris
Paris is home to some of the most famous landmarks, monuments and historical museums in the world. We had 4 ‘whole’ days in Paris and I’m surprised (but also proud) at how many landmarks we were able to see.
+ The Eiffel Tower (duh)
+ The Louvre Museum – I suggest getting here right when it opens to avoid standing in a long line to see the Mona Lisa
+ Cathedral of Notre Dame – Currently under construction, but we still went to see the outside
+ Arc de Triomphe
+ Palais-Royal
+ Palais Garnier – This was one of my favorite places! The architecture is SO incredibly gorgeous!
+ Palace of Versailles – Unfortunately we didn’t get to see the Palace of Versailles during this trip because it’s about an hour/1.5 hour drive outside of the city, but definitely plan to visit here next time I’m in Paris!
Cute Cafés and Places to Eat
Where do I begin?! There are so many good places and cafes in Paris!
+ Café Marly – Next to the Louvre and super cute for pictures
+ L’Avenue – Popular lunch spot
+ Café Kitsune – Cutest cafe in the gardens of Palais-Royal
+ Au Rocher de Cancale – Super cute baby blue and gold exterior! The service here was also some of the best service we had
+ Café de Flore – One of the oldest coffeehouses in Paris
+ Pink Mamma – This restaurant has such character! I was surprised at how cheap (yet good) the food was. Expect for there to be a wait though!
+ Café de l’Homme – We had dinner here one of the nights and it has the most perfect view of the Eiffel Tower! (Def ask to sit outside)
Where to Shop
Shopping in Paris is AMAZING!
+ The Champs-Élysées – One of the most famous shopping streets in the world
+ Avenue Montaigne – This area is my personal favorite
+ Rue Saint-Honoré – Mix of chic boutiques and classic designers
+ 31 Rue Cambon – Chanel store that was once Coco Chanel’s apartment
+ Galeries Lafayette – Huge French department store
